Privacy policy

Thocktail is made and sold by Bellbolt, a one-person software studio in Spain ("we"). You can reach us at support@bellbolt.com.

We are the controller of the data described here.

The app

Thocktail never connects to the internet. It reads which key position went down or up, never which letter you typed, and keeps only your settings, press counts and, once you activate it, your license (which includes your email) on your Mac. The license is checked on your Mac, offline.

This website

No cookies, no analytics. The sound demo runs inside your browser. The site is served by Cloudflare, which briefly keeps technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security.

Your purchase

• Stripe takes the payment and receives your name, email, country and payment details. We use your email, country and the purchase record to give you your license, help you and keep our accounts (legal basis: the contract and our tax obligations). We keep it as long as tax law requires.
• Resend sends the email with your license.
• We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

Transfers

Cloudflare, Stripe and Resend may process data in the United States. They are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or, where it doesn’t apply, rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us for access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction or portability at support@bellbolt.com. If you think we got it wrong, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (aepd.es) or the one where you live.
