Terms of use

Thocktail is made and sold by Bellbolt, a one-person software studio in Spain ("we"). You can reach us at support@bellbolt.com.

These terms apply when you download, try or buy Thocktail. Our privacy policy and refund policy are part of them.

1. What you buy

A one-time payment, at the price shown at checkout ($3.99, or less during a promotion), gives you a personal license for Thocktail, to use on the Macs you use. It isn't a subscription and it doesn't expire. It includes the updates of version 1.

2. The trial

Thocktail plays with everything for 7 days from the first time you open it. After that, the sounds pause until you activate a license; your settings are kept.

3. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Prices include VAT or sales tax where it applies. The charge shows on your bank statement as Bellbolt. You get your license on the page after paying, and by email.

4. Refunds

If Thocktail isn't for you, we refund you within 14 days of buying. The details are in the refund policy.

5. What you may not do

• Share, resell or publish your license key.
• Distribute Thocktail or its sounds separately, or decompile it beyond what the law allows.

6. The sounds

The recordings come from kbsim (© Thomas Lai) and Mechvibes (© Hai Nguyen), under the MIT license. Their texts are at the foot of the home page.

7. Warranty

We do our best for Thocktail to work well on macOS 15 or later. Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer law gives you, including the legal guarantee of conformity.

8. Changes and governing law

If we change these terms, the date above changes; changes never work against a license you already bought. They are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules of your country.
